News: Student Evaluation of Instruction moves online

The Student Evaluation of Instruction (SEI) is Ohio State's most widely-used method to collect student ratings of instructors, and it is now entirely online. Students access the evaluations through their class schedules on the web. Detailed information about SEIs was emailed to instructors on Wednesday, November 18 and to students on Friday, November 20.

Because the evaluations are completed outside of the classroom, instructors are encouraged to remind students of the importance and relevance of SEIs often.

Many evaluation pages will include a text box for comments after the 10 SEI items.

In general, students can submit online SEIs through the last day of classes, Friday, December 4.

Once a grade has been posted for a student in a particular class, the student can no longer access the SEI for that class.
