Computer-Based Testing: Identification Requirements

Educational Testing Service employs very strict identification requirements for its Computer-Based Testing network. There are absolutely no exceptions to these identification requirements.

To be admitted for an ETS Computer-Based Test, all candidates must present a valid identification. To be considered valid, the identifation must contain a recent recognizable photo, a signature, and cannot be expired.

For US Citizens, valid identifcation includes:

    State-Issued Identification Card
    State-Issued Driver's License
    Government-Issued Passport
    US Military Identification

Non-Citizens MUST present:

    Valid Passport
Permanent Resident Card and valid Driver's License or State-Issued ID Card.

NOTE: A Driver's License alone will not admit non-US Citizens for any ETS Computer-Based test.

The following forms of Identification are not accepted:

    Student Identification (including BuckID)
    Library Cards
    Credit Cards
    Social Security Cards

Students who cannot present a valid identification will NOT be admitted and will have their exam fees forfeited.
